SUZIE LAVELLE'S BIOGRAPHY
I am from Ireland and started out studying photography. I did some extensive traveling when I was young and started to getting into the moving image. I moved to London, went to college and worked as a camera assistant. I then got to study cinematography in the NFTS, London. Since graduating, I took whatever work I could get, and am now shooting my second feature film THE OTHER SIDE OF SLEEP, a Cannes Cinéfondation film, with director Rebecca Daly. My first feature film, ONE HUNDRED MORNINGS was awarded an IFTA (Irish Film and TV award) for cinematography in March 2010. I also work for a few 16mm film artists, and have films displayed on 16mm loopers in galleries in London.
