IAN CLARK'S BIOGRAPHY
After moving to London Ian started out in the industry as a post-production runner and editorial operator. While working at Framestore he made his first short film, DEF. It screened at many festivals internationally and won prizes as diverse as Best Short at the New York International Children’s Film Festival and the top prize and audience award at Pifan – a fantasy and horror festival in South Korea.
He was subsequently accepted to the National Film and Television School where he completed his MA with a distinction. His graduation film, OUTCASTS, earned him a place on the Edinburgh Film Festival 'Trailblazers' scheme. It went on to screen at Austin, San Sebastian and St Louis, and won the Fujifilm Shorts Prize in 2009.
His last film was made through Film London's 'Pulse' scheme last year. JENNY & THE WORM recently received a Jury Special Mention at Clermont Ferrand and is set to play at many more festivals this year.
Ian is currently working on his first feature, to be produced this spring by Vertigo and the NFTS.
