HAJDANA BALETIC'S BIOGRAPHY
Hajdana Baletic graduated in Dramaturgy at the Academy of Drama Arts in Belgrade and completed her M.A. in Text and Performance studies at King’s College, London. She wrote for Fox Kids, Radio Television of Serbia, TV Politika, Treci Kanal.
Her play “Dead Man’s Coat” was staged at London’s Blue Elephant Theatre and Atelje 212 in Belgrade. She has dramatised Danilo Kis’s autobiographical novel “Garden, Ashes”, staged at Yugoslav Drama Theatre and wrote a screenplay for a feature film “Take a Deep Breath”, directed by Dragan Marinkovic (Best Foreign Language Film award at WorldFest Houston International Film Festival 2005). She wrote and directed a short play “Circle of number 2 tram” at SKC Theatre, Belgrade.
Her novel “Take me to another place” was published to critical acclaim by Stubovi Kulture.
Hajdana recently participated in BBC's "Casualty" Shadow Scheme for writers .
She is developing two feature film scripts, one of them co-written with and to be directed by Duska Zagorac.
